As an experienced carpenter with Locspec, you will play a key role in creating stunning custom homes and complete home renovations. This involves contributing to the construction of modern homes with unique features and exceptional finishes right from the start.

The Opportunity:

We are in search of an experienced carpenter who is eager to take on more responsibilities and progress towards a supervisory position. We are looking for a skilled carpenter with a strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills. In this role, you will supervise all carpentry aspects on construction sites, allowing the manager to focus on business growth. By ensuring top-notch craftsmanship and efficiency, you will collaborate closely with the manager. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all building site and carpentry activities in residential construction.
• Assist in coordination, management, scheduling, and future planning.
• Interpret and implement plans, organizing work accordingly.
• Provide guidance and instructions to team members and other tradespeople.
• Lead and mentor junior carpenters, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and company protocols.
• Introduce new carpentry methods and materials to enhance project quality and efficiency.
• Effectively manage project timelines and resources to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Offer guidance and assistance to workers in achieving set objectives.
• Communicate clearly with external parties, including tradespeople, team members, and clients.
• Resolve challenges creatively and maintain a strong focus on detail.
• Possess a solid grasp of Work Health and Safety regulations, ensuring compliance on site and among staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Cert III in Carpentry.
• 4+ years of experience in residential carpentry.
• Previous experience as a leading hand/site supervisor is advantageous.
• Valid Driver's License.
• NSW White Card.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, ambition, and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
• Capacity to train and share industry knowledge with apprentices.
• Must have own tools and be able to travel to job sites within the specified area.
