We utilise the latest survey gear ranging from Total Stations, levels, GPS, machine guidance, drones, and laser scanners, and we always have innovation at the forefront of our business model. We can utilise assets from our in-house Winslow Group Services ranging from traffic management services through to NDD Trucks with service locators to provide a wide range of surveying services.
As a Surveyor you will report to the Infrastructure Survey Manager and will help manage the surveying requirements including the fieldwork & calculations required for project.
THE ROLE
The main responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Coordinate and maintain project Survey Control.
- Conduct set outs as per Area Manager / Foreman instructions.
- Communicating how survey set out is to be used by infrastructure construction crews.
- Liaising with Foreman regarding site activities and ensure required survey information is in place for the next activity.
- Liaise with the Project Managers and/or Consultants to resolve design conflicts.
- Maintain digital data and document control as per company standards.
- Liaising with Area Manager and Project Manager to ensure current revisions are utilised.
- Conduct site visits to ensure the client is supported by correct technologies.
- Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control audits.
- Undertake computations and required checks to create set out data and 3D models.
- Maintain rework and variation registers and generate monthly progress claims.
- Training Junior Staff on survey computations and digital data management.
- Conduct day to day survey resourcing.
- Create and submit quotes to client.
- Hold relevant qualifications in either Survey, Spatial Science and/or Geometrics.
- Experience gained across road infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Exposure to using Total Stations is advantageous coupled with experience using GPS equipment and machine guidance technology.
- Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and team members
