About the Program


NewAccess is a free and confidential mental health coaching program funded by South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN), designed to respond to the needs of diverse communities within SWS.

NewAccess delivers Low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LiCBT) to people who are:

  • considered suitable for lower intensity mental health intervention, as part of the stepped care model; e.g. feeling stressed or overwhelmed about everyday life issues, such as work, study, relationships, health or loneliness.
- aged from 16 years, and
- living in South Western Sydney

About the Role
The NewAccess Coach uses agreed modalities to deliver sessions to our clients, e.g.

telehealth or face to face supports, to conduct a structured 6-week program of supports, which:

- works with a person's strengths, towards their recovery goals
- uses a trauma informed approach
- collaborates with the person, using practical tools and assessment outcome measures, as part of the coaching model.

You will work in a dynamic, self-organising team.

Your skills and experience
***
_Essential_

  • Relevant qualifications in mental health e.g. Cert IV/Diploma in Mental Health, Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology/Sociology), Social Work; or studying, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellence in written, comprehension and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to undergo training and ongoing supervision to ensure integrity of the LiCBT coaching model.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work from more than one site, across the SWS region.
  • Current driver's licence and access to a fully insured motor vehicle.

Additional Details


One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination (x3 Doses).
