ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Parade College is part of the national Catholic schools organization called Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). The college is dedicated to helping young men mature into well-rounded individuals who will positively impact society. Being a longstanding Catholic boys' school following the Edmund Rice principles, Parade College aims to offer top-notch education and pastoral care to its students to promote personal growth and a comprehensive development.

Established in 1871, Parade College is the oldest Edmund Rice School in Australia with a reputable history of excellent education and pastoral support for young men. The college provides an array of curriculum options catering to various interests such as academic, sports, music, visual arts, and trade.

The Position

The College's Mission Statement states: "We are a community of enthusiastic learners, delivering outstanding education and pastoral care that fosters holistic growth for everyone." A crucial focus of our Strategic Plan - Student Wellbeing is to prioritize student welfare, recognized as a strength by parents and the wider community. To enhance this aspect, Parade College will:

This effort includes enhancing staff capabilities related to effective teaching, learning factors, student welfare, and promoting student participation and leadership.

The Director of Learning Diversity, as a member of the College Leadership Team, plays a pivotal role in executing the College's Teaching and Learning and Student Wellbeing Strategic Plan. The Director leads in the realm of Learning Diversity, aiming to enhance student learning outcomes and engagement by setting an example of best practices.

Responsibilities of the Director of Learning Diversity encompass strategic planning for Literacy, Numeracy, EAL, support for refugees and Indigenous students, and highly gifted individuals. This role ensures that all teaching and learning processes facilitate learning access and growth for every student.
