About Ku-ring-gai Council

  • Located 16 km's north of the Sydney CBD, the Kuringgai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales' most attractive natural environments.

About the role

  • Reporting to the Library Team Leader (Gordon), you will be responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the Library's lending, reference and information, technical and program services. This role may be asked to work across multiple library locations.

Duties

  • Provide high quality customer service to Library users
  • Assist with resource circulation and attend to general enquiries relating to library resources
  • Assist and instruct users with use of library systems, equipment, resources and facilities
  • Working as required at any branch of the Kuringgai Library Service

Skills & experience

  • High School Certificate or equivalent
  • Working with Children Check for paid workers
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Previous public library experience (desirable)

Benefits

  • 14 hour working week (Sunday and Monday)
  • Up to $100 yearly reimbursement for Health & Fitness (conditional)
