Ikon is a private Institute of Higher Education focused on Art Therapy, Early Childhood Education, Counselling, and Psychotherapy. Our purpose is to propel individuals towards life-altering futures. We do this by fostering curiosity and self-development through meaningful learning experiences.
Ikon operates nationally with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide, as well as Distance Education. It currently has around 600 domestic and international students across its 3 Bachelor programs.
About the role
The Learning Support Manager will lead the development and implementation of learning support services, including academic skills support activities and Ikon's online academic skill support platform on Canvas, for students studying on campus and online.
About you
You are passionate about supporting students on their learning journey and have demonstrated experience developing and implementing student support initiatives and workshops.
You have good time management skills, problem solving abilities, and a positive attitude.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor qualification or higher (preferred) within an area related to the role.
- Extensive experience in a learning support role, preferably within higher education.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to effectively lead a team in achieving highquality outcomes.
- Strong computer and software skills.
- Willingness to adapt to change and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021
