Your opportunity:

Our Digital & Information, Delivery Office has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Management Office Analyst to join their Assurance, Methods and Standards team

The Delivery Office ensures Digital & Information projects are positioned to deliver outcomes and is key to ensuring solutions are delivered that are responsive to customer needs, are sustainable in an enterprise environment and provide enhanced Urban Utilities services. The Assurance, Methods and Standards team plays an integral role in improving the maturity of the project management whilst adhering to the agreed governance, assurance, and project reporting framework.

Reporting to the Assurance, Methods and Standards Lead, the Project Management Office Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the adoption of best practise Project Management principles across the Digital & Information function. They will oversee all project operations such as status reporting, financial reporting, project governance establishment and ongoing requirements, document analysis and distribution plus provide sound project progression advice. Additionally, the PMO Analyst will provide well-informed assurance advice, assess the delivery methodology used, ensure adequate controls are applied and complete assurance gating reviews.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Comprehensive project methodology experience across project delivery lifecycles with experience to deal with most project situations and advise project managers of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (PRINCE2 and Agile preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge providing advice on the process of assurance profiling, planning, reviews and reporting as per QGEA requirements (Relevant assurance accreditation desirable)
  • General work experience providing support for the Project Management Office that delivers to multiple complex ICT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience analysing project needs in a systematic, goal-oriented manner and tenacity in tracking and monitoring project outcomes, remaining adaptable to changes.
