About the Role

Primo Foods have a rare opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the team in Chullora, Sydney. This role is responsible for supporting the Sales and Marketing team with financial key insights and analysis with accurate performance reporting. The information this role provides must support, challenge and provide insight to the strategic direction of the Sales and Marketing teams through financial analysis, and to form a link between Finance and Sales plus Marketing, acting as the first point of business partner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the Finance key point of business partnering interface between Sales and Marketing
  • Partnering Retail, Food Service and/or Export channel sales managers
  • Partnering Marketing, Category and Innovation managers
  • Deliver analytical activities, including daily, weekly and month end requirements to support business decisions
  • New product reviews and category analysis
  • Pricing controls and segmentation
  • Support the Group Planning frameworks, including the "end to end" sales budgeting & forecasting
  • Competitor analysis by category
  • Ensure strong engagement with all sales & marketing teams
  • Ensure that a framework for commercial fact-based decision-making exists that drives both short and long-term objectives.
  • Provide strategic analysis and business support ad hoc as required
  • Contributes positively to the development of the Commercial Finance Team in a customer focused and commercial manner.
  • Manage five direct reports, two Sales Analyst, Marketing Analyst and two Product Costing Analysts'

About you:

  • Commercial finance experience and a proven ability to effectively influence and lead through business partnering
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution and CA/CPA
  • 5-7 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated experience working across organizations, not just with finance
  • Strong track record of success in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong understanding of business intelligence, performance management frameworks, budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills and team management skills
  • Strong communicator with excellent listening and interaction skills
  • Quality focus and good conflict resolution skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Excellent analytical ability with skills that enable coordination of data, including MS-Office (primarily PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and be able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
  • Good organizational skills with cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Good judgment and problem-solving ability & is capable of understanding the impact of decision making on the business
