Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

a)
Management Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Codefines and assures the execution of the Oceania country Sales strategy and provides key customer inputs into the development of the Essential
  • Products, Performance Solutions and Precision Services strategies.
  • Defines and executes the Oceania Sales strategy for ANH, for Specialty product categories in close cooperation with the Manager, Performance Solutions and Sales Manager, Ruminant.
  • Builds sales talent and succession bench with diverse, high potential and high performing talent.
  • Responsible for Oceania sales targets, excluding Ruminant focused sales; execution of sales excellence tools, inclusive of CRM.
  • Overall responsibility for account planning and management.
  • Manages Account Managers, Performance Solutions Sales Managers and Inside Sales support to decide Experience collaborating and contributing to the development of strategy, execution plans and accountability for achievement against such plans.
  • Be a key contributor in project opportunity development through CRM.
  • Responsible for setting and supporting sales forecasts and budgets for Oceania.
  • Commercial management responsibility for developing and setting pricing strategy for Essential products and Premix business.
  • Support the development of suitable customer strategies and solutions for different segments within the market.
  • Coordination with Oceania & North Asia Operating Unit Essential Products Manager for development and execution of Sales and Marketing plans related to Essential product category and Premix.

b)
Market Responsibilities, Knowledge and Insights

  • Attendance at Industry events as a representative of DSM country leadership team inclusive of customer events, seminars, or congresses.
  • Construct, plan and undertake projects, surveys, reports, and various tasks as required to gain customer and market insights.
  • Keep up to date with current national and international feed regulations and industry developments pertinent to DSM business.
  • Keep up to date with formulation techniques, technical literature, and feasibility of new raw material addition into premix or into feed for new business opportunities, through attending presentations/seminars/trainings on new materials and DSM products.

c)
Authorities

  • Responsible for creating commercial pricing strategy for the Essential product category and Premixes which can be applied to customers pricing and tender submissions in consultation with the Oceania country and Operating Unit management team.
  • Responsibility for commercial decisions relating to product supply to meet the demands of the Oceania country demand.

d)
Operational Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work practices and behaviour according to DSM Life Saving Rules.
  • Report all incidents and injuries promptly and accurately to management.
  • Provide direction as required to QA and production team to resolve customer complaints/ NCRs.
  • Collaborate with the Oceania Operations management team to facilitate efficient and effective service delivery to customers.

You bring:

  • Tertiary qualification Bachelor's degree in Animal Nutrition or related Science and/ or Commerce; preferably also a post graduate qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership position in a Sales or Marketing role leading a team.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience selling additives; ingredients or premixes in the animal feed or food industry.
  • Sound technical and practical understanding of animal nutrition, farm management, animal health and feed formulation across all species.
  • Sound commercial strategic understanding and ability to contribute to development of budgets and execution of sales plans.
  • Strong leadership qualities to manage a team serving a dynamic and diverse customer base.
  • Experience collaborating and contributing to strategy development, execution of plans and accountability for achievement of such plans.
  • Attention to detail, negotiation skills and problemsolving skills are required to form strong customer relationships and convey complex or technical information to customers.
  • A selfdriven individual that is goalfocused, whilst able to lead and collaborate in a team and enjoys facetoface customer interaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Suite Products.
  • A confident approach to proactively managing and reporting problems.
