We have an exciting opportunity for a
Preconstruction Graduate to join our
Design & Services Team in
Melbourne.

This role will be responsible
for
coordinating documents and processes related to preconstruction, estimating and cost planning phase and will report to the
Design & Services Manager.

Responsibilities and learnings include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and assess tender documents to understand scope of work and pricing requirements
  • Request and vet consultant and contractor quotations to ensure scope coverage and accuracy
  • Ensure all tender submission pricing and clarifications are complete and accurate
  • Assist in the development of presentations for project interviews in conjunction with the key stakeholders
  • Develop Request for Tender (RFT) and ensure all relevant information, reports and documentation is captured
  • Collate information and distribute tender addenda or clarifications to applicable stakeholders
  • Develop procurement schedules to be shared with clients
  • Conduct Post Tender Assessment to review overall submission detail
  • Identify scope adjustments, confirm lead times, inclusions, and omissions
  • Generate reports per trade to send to service consultants for assessment and ratings
  • Develop preferred contractor ratings and reports to be shared with client
  • Ensure that client engagement is appropriately documented (contracts, letter of intent, etc)
  • Raise invoices to clients during the preconstruction phase as required
  • Update preliminary programmes to construction
  • Obtain final approvals from relevant stakeholders
  • Obtain final construction documentation and associated schedules and upload to Project Management System
  • Complete all required documentation for construction works to commence
  • Submit final construction documentation and highlevel timeframe for final Building Manager / Landlord approval
  • Ensure all relevant information is saved on Project Management System or relevant drives
  • Participate in effective handover meetings to Construction Delivery Team
  • Introduce delivery team members to clients and applicable to stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits
  • Participate in Estimating Review Meetings to ensure consistency and contribute to best commercial outcomes
  • Utilise business systems to deliver cost estimates

Successful applicants must have:

  • Qualified in Architecture, Design, Building & Construction, or Project Management or equivalent
  • Construction White Card or the ability to attain
  • First Aid Certificate Level 2 or the ability to attain
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work and pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team orientated and focused on delivering high quality work
