ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Assist Clients to undertake tasks such as but not limited to; mopping or vacuuming floors, dusting, changing bed linen, washing, drying, essential ironing and meal preparation as well as cleaning stoves, bench tops and fridges.
  • Assistance with activities that Clients would normally do for themselves, but they are unable to perform without assistance because of illness, disability or frailty. Examples of Personal Assistance such as but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and assistance with getting in and out of bed, assistance with mobility transfers and with individually prescribed exercise or therapy programs. The Client may also need assistance with eating,
  • To perform or assist Clients with a range of tasks in the home and local community necessary to maintain the functioning of the household and the health and quality of life of the Client. Activities could include assistance with shopping and banking, and escorting the Client

TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Certificate 3 In Home And Community Care Or Aged Care Along With Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate
  • Demonstrated understanding of the need of older people and those with disabilities and other relevant needs
  • Working with children check (with expiry date)
  • First Aid (Level 2) (with expiry date)
