How can I contribute?

As the Senior Project Manager - Application Delivery, you will lead and manage project activities to deliver technology solutions that help Westpac reach its strategic goals and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ongoing Technology Project Management mentoring and coaching support to assist in project implementation, collaborating closely with project sponsors and other team members to enhance performance through coaching
  • Leading technology delivery across various Enterprise systems such as Digital, Customer originations, Product Originations, and Financial crime systems
  • Reviewing project proposals to determine time frames, funding, and resource allocation to different phases of each project
  • Overseeing implementation activities across multiple applications and business divisions
  • Identifying and overseeing process enhancements

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Tech Project Manager in the banking and financial services sector with a strong understanding of the project lifecycle. You should be capable of leading, designing, testing, and implementing phases, with agile delivery experience and a deep knowledge of applications in complex organizations. Additionally, you must have:

  • Technical delivery experience with applications and managing system integrations
  • Extensive experience in leading IT projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in application delivery
  • Experience in Technology team Financial Services
  • End-to-end software delivery experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead and innovate

While previous experience in Financial Crime/regulatory roles, Westpac Technology familiarity, big 4 consulting background, Agile methodology, and project management certifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory.
