Woodis currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer (Oil & Gas)to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC (West) business.

This is a long-term opportunity to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team,due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to a new and significant brownfields engineering opportunity with a major player in the LNG industry.

Wood "Operations"delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, optimization and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry.

Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Oil & Gas and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Southeast Asia, and Kazakhstan.

You will be reporting directly to the Lead Electrical Engineer and working across FEED / Execution to EPC delivery, across some of world's most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects for Wood's Electrical Engineering group.

Suitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, ideally you will have a minimum of 12 + years of proven experience in either, Mining and Minerals and or O&G brownfields engineering EPC sector in Australia.


In addition, you will have:

Engineering office design experience with experience in either some / all of the following:power generationpower distribution (MV & LV)equipment specification (.

Power Transformers, MV & LV motors and drives, MV & LV switchgear, cabling, lighting, earthing)

Design knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills Excellent communication skills Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs A "solutions mindset" and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities What will set you apart will be your experience in one or more of the following:
