Our client based in the Adelaide CBD is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to join their Program Delivery Team. The goal of this role is to design and implement a Lean Portfolio Management Office through the creation of a continuous stream of projects to deliver customer value with minimum waste of resources, and within the fastest time possible, whilst producing the optimum value for the organisation.

This is a temporary role on an initial 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on Lean Project Management
  • Identify and manage the organisational and process constraints within a project lifecycle
  • Ensure a continuous flow of work to ensure no part of the system is overloaded
  • Design the PMO with a view of the "whole picture"
  • Ability to focus and control handoff and dependencies of the project lifecycle, including people, processes, services, products and relationships
  • Detect and Enable small 'quick wins' in continuous improvement
  • Ability to use effective visual management and project management tools to get visibility into the portfolio, programs, and individual projects
  • Ability to use portfolio and resource management best practise to prioritise projects based on business value

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in leading, developing or implementing PMO for a multidisciplinary organisation
  • Experience in leading, motivating and developing effective teams to drive business value and stakeholder engagement
  • Considerable knowledge of PMO practise and methodologies
  • Certification and experience/understanding PMI-ACP,CSM, Prince2, PMP or Lean Six Sigma
