Your role:

The primary responsibility as a Senior Team Member Civil will revolve around pipe & culvert maintenance tasks in urban and rural areas.

In addition to overseeing the quality maintenance and construction projects, the role involves supporting the Supervisor Civil Works by providing guidance, assistance, and leadership to the works teams. The key duties include:

  • Assisting the Supervisor Civil Works in planning and organizing the team's tasks and resources.
  • Supervising team members and contractors on-site to execute goals set by the Team Leader, ensuring safe and high-standard work practices.
  • Maintaining and operating machinery, tools, and safety gear in compliance with Council standards.
  • Performing various labor tasks such as traffic management, soil control, concreting, paving, maintenance of infrastructure, and ensuring site safety.
  • Accurately interpreting construction plans and site layouts according to approved blueprints.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks relevant to the position.

Requirements for success:

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction or relevant experience.
  • Class MR Driver's License.
  • General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
  • SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Card with expertise in Traffic Control.

Applicants should be vaccinated for Hepatitis B in compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations.
