Our storage and handling system currently receives and exports around 90 per cent of the Western Australian grain harvest and is regarded as one of the best in the world.

We in-load via our own in-house design screw conveyor pits, bucket elevators, ground conveyors, trippers, and stackers into multiple storage types.

We strive to continually improve our equipment from site feedback, and we have a strong pipeline of work that focuses on out-loading with multiple new rail loading facilities and expansions of our existing receival sites.

Our core purpose is to sustainably create and return value to current and future West Australian grain growers.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Logistics team, within our Operations Division on a full-time, 4-month fixed term contract (possibility of extension to 12 months) as a Coordinator - Rail Operations.


The primary purpose of this role is to provide support in managing the contracts and operations of the CBH Rail Operations team's portfolio and to assist in the management and execution of the CBH Rail Safety Management Plan.


Reporting to the Manager - Rail Operations and working closely with operational personnel in head office and regional areas, the key deliverables for the role are:

  • Ensure the performance standard requirements under the Rail Safety Regulations are adequately reviewed, documented, and applied;
  • Work collaboratively with CBH Health and Safety team to ensure alignment of systems and reporting;
  • Assist in the ongoing management of the Rail Services Agreement;
  • Assist in operational and asset management project work as required, such as project coordination, data collection and analysis;
  • Carry out internal audits and monitor compliance to the Rail Safety Management Plan, correcting any systemic issues; and
  • Participate in long term rail safety and strategy planning.
  • Experience in the management of projects;
  • Exposure to contract management; and
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and problems solving skills.
