Work with the Emergency Management team at Manningham Council to undertake community engagement for increased disaster risk awareness, preparedness, and resilience.

About the Role

This position will work closely with the Emergency Management team to undertake community engagement for increased disaster risk awareness, preparedness, and resilience. This role has been created to assist the team to carry out an Emergency Management Victoria Risk and Resilience Grant. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and understanding of community-based emergency management planning and project delivery, with the ability to motivate, influence and implement change.

Skills and Experience

  • An effective project manager and planner with a demonstrated ability to manage concurrent and diverse projects with competing priorities in a time constrained environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of community-based emergency management planning and project delivery, asset-based community development, and/or the local community.
  • Community focused with a commitment to delivering a high standard of care, thoughtfulness, and engagement outcomes.
