About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to be the senior specialist instrument technician. You will be responsible for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes, including associated washer/disinfectors and storage/drying cabinets. You will report to the Nurse Unit Manager, Endoscopy and be part of the opening of a new and dynamic service.

About you:

  • Certificate IV in Health
  • Sterilisation Practices for Technicians, or equivalent is essential
  • Certificate III in Health
  • Sterilisation Practice for Technicians, or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Minimum 12 months (full time equivalent) endoscopy related experience
  • Certificate IV in Supervision (or working towards) is highly desirable
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or working towards) is highly desirable
  • Effective and appropriate patterns of communication within a multidisciplinary team; accurate documentation pertaining to disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical instruments.
