THE ROLE:

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is seeking an experienced team lead for the Corporate Services Support Team. A merit pool will be formed for related corporate service positions.


The Corporate Services Support Team sits within the Corporate Services Group and is responsible for providing advice and services across Corporate functions in a global environment.


As part of the Corporate Services Support Team, opportunities are available to lead the management of Austrade's Travel and Posting program and lead day to day team operations for the Corporate Service Desk.

To be successful, an in-depth knowledge of Commonwealth travel arrangements, operational requirements and associated services is an advantage as is your staff management skillset.

An ability to manage competing priorities, resourcing and service analysis reporting will also put you in good stead.


Corporate Services Support cover a broad remit of APS (Australian Public Service) corporate services in a global environment (with almost half of our workforce operating in 60+ international locations) and have a key focus on customer service and business improvements.

You will be solution focused with excellent attention to detail and have a client centric approach to management of key stakeholders and customers.

Relationship management across portfolios and with private sector suppliers is beneficial and you will be supported to develop in these areas.


DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Providing support to the EL1 Service Management lead to enable business improvement activities and BAU (Business as Usual) functions.
  • Provide high quality service, support, and leadership to internal stakeholders and engage with external parties
  • Using a project management work style to case manage postings across Austrade's global network.
  • Supervising a small team to ensure appropriate processes are in place to best manage Austrade's corporate services in conjunction with key suppliers within Government and the private sector.
  • Managing content across the team that ensures procedures and work instructions are current and fit for purpose.
  • Other related work as required.
