About the role:

Bulga open cut is seeking a Blast Supervisor to lead an established and high performing blast team to safely and efficiently execute support activities to achieve the mine plan.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supervise, instruct and monitor team members involved in daily blasting activities
• Lead by example by providing visible and credible direction to achieve a safe and efficient outcome
• Identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety, and environmental impacts
• Oversee people management issues in area of responsibility including development of your team
• Contribute to planning and allocation of resources within area of responsibility

About you:

You have an extensive understanding of Drill and Blast processes with strong leadership & interpersonal skills.
You will also have the following skills & experience:

• NSW OCE and/or Blasting Explosives Users Licence -Highly desirable
• Previous experience in a leadership role - Highly desirable
• Strong technical knowledge of Drill and Blast including through seam blasting
• High commitment to safety, hazard awareness and risk management
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across multiple departments and organisational levels
