AAMGhave been engaged by our client partner to find them an experienced Maintenance Planner- Shutdownsfor their Central QLD assets based out of their Mackay Branch.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Brisbane Planning team and the Maintenance Manager in Mackay to execute and conduct short-term Planning with a focus on Major Shutdowns across all their CQ assets.


Key Responsibilities:


Understand and manage the upcoming asset shutdown schedule (MEC/MEU, RTW, asset moves, etc.) over the next 3 to 6 months.

Initiate targeted pre-shutdown inspections to assess asset conditions and determine necessary work during shutdowns.

Attend scheduled site visits to ensure collaboration with key stakeholders aligns with business requirements, meets client needs, and supports the effective execution of the scheduled asset shutdown plans.

Develop and maintain asset shutdown plans within a 12-week to 4-week window, including:
Scheduled MEC/MEU component changeouts
Outstanding machine defect backlog
Opportunistic strategy tasks
Work required to restore assets to Emeco standards.

Collaborate with key stakeholders (Site Superintendents, Project Managers, and Asset Majors Coordinators) to review labour and resourcing workflows for shutdown events.

Ensure Bill of Materials (BOM) kits are suitable for component changes and procure additional parts as needed.
Provide accurate shutdown scopes to external vendors and labour providers for budgeting.
Ensure shutdown scopes comply with regional CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Submit draft shutdown plans to the Central Plan Hub for review and approval.
Confirm asset shutdowns on-site within a 4-week schedule, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and work is approved to commence.

Host Post Maintenance Reviews covering:
Compliance to plan
Labour utilisation
Parts and component issues
Workflow of shutdown
Opportunities for improvement
Deliver feedback to the Central Planning Hub for continuous improvement in asset and shutdown strategies.

About you:
Unrestricted Australian Work Rights
Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning/scheduling.
The ability to meet deadlines.
Experience in maintaining heavy mobile earth moving equipment, particularly CAT, Hitachi, and Komatsu.
( A trade background is preferred).
Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
High-level communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to foster strong working relationships.
Substantial knowledge and experience with computer programs, including AMT (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
A strong understanding of what drives equipment productivity in a mining environment.
Insight into customer operations and equipment usage.
Strong time management skills and the ability to plan and forecast.
Previous experience in a similar role.
( Qld Coal Mining highly regarded )

Desirable:
Standard 11, Queensland Coal Board Medical.

Mandatory:
Valid Australian driver's license.
