Software Engineer

About the Role

The Original PC Doctor is seeking Software Engineers to join the Asset Management software development team. These are permanent full-time positions based in the Ringwood, VIC Head office.

The Original PC Doctor's Inhouse CRM Software is utilized for managing Australia wide hardware and data recovery jobs and providing a web portal for technicians to successfully complete their tasks.

The development environment utilizes Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and Git complemented with components and productivity tools.

Professional Requirements

• Hold a degree in software engineering, computer science, or programming.
• Demonstrated proficiency in VB.
• Strong communication and engagement skills.
• Excellent documentation and mastery of spoken and written English.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work within deadlines.
• Demonstrated capability in documentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software code.
• Conduct analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Document and provide support for software solutions.
• Meeting software quality standards and company objectives.
• Write code supporting innovative domain knowledge and analytical instrument performance.
• Capability to lead, conduct code reviews, and mentor a team of developers.
• Participate in product strategy and planning within a key development group.
• Research and implement new technologies to drive product innovation and performance.
• Utilize existing development tools and systems to ensure consistent code development and release.

About You

• Extensive professional experience in VB / .Net, WCF, WinForms, and web application development.
• Integration of payment gateways and third-party tools.
• Over 7 years of Microsoft stack development experience.
• Proficiency in WCF, WPF, and T-SQL using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Previous work in an agile development setting.
• Contributed to large-scale software projects.
• Detailed knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, the DOM, and UI design for mobile and web applications.
• Interest and aptitude to learn new coding languages.
• Relevant qualifications in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong command of the English language.
