Be part of the team that ensures our military personnel are fully fit and ready to protect Australia. Nurses play a crucial role in supporting the ADF on their path to wellness. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will utilize your clinical expertise to guide individuals through their rehabilitation journey, witnessing concrete results along the way. Serving as a pivotal link in helping the ADF reach specific health targets for a successful return to service.

  • Conduct various assessments, such as functional capacity evaluations and ergonomic assessments;
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders, including injured employees, medical professionals, and allied health experts;
  • Leverage your nursing knowledge to develop personalized wellness plans;
  • Manage cases by implementing and overseeing rehabilitation strategies.

In this role, KPIs focus on service outcomes rather than billable hours, emphasizing a genuine person-centered approach.

With set working hours, you can achieve a healthy work-life balance - no overtime or after-hours work required. Enjoy early starts and finishes: 7:30 am - 4 pm from Monday to Thursday, with a half-day on Fridays. The role is based at the RAAF Base in Amberley.

Join a reputable service provider where you will receive guidance and support through direct interactions and a comprehensive onboarding process, including continuous shadowing. This will help you enhance your technical skills and knowledge, setting you up for success.

Key to your success:

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing;
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills;
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams towards a common goal;
  • Passion for assisting individuals in their rehabilitation journey;
  • Desirable: 12 months of Occupational Rehabilitation experience.

(Professionals like Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, or Osteopaths with relevant registration are also encouraged to apply).
