About School Infrastructure


School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school.

This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW

About the role
Provide important support to new and upgraded school projects in delivering sustainability outcomes. This work includes supporting Green Star certifications, reviewing and recommending design and construction standards, and preparing reports and presentations.

  • Assist in the development, implementation and promotion of sustainable design and construction programs to support positive environmental, economic and social outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of program management by reviewing and monitoring the ongoing effectiveness and assisting in the preparation of highquality reports, submissions, briefing notes, ministerial correspondence and learning materials to a range of stakeholders and management.
  • Contribute to the design, content and technical specifications of information provided on the Educational Facilities Standards and Guidelines (EFSG) and SINSW intranet.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for successful delivery of statewide sustainability programs.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to statewide locations.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
