Plummers Industries is a family-owned enterprise, specialised springs for local machinery manufacturers, the company successfully transitioned into switchboard manufacturing in the mid-1970s.

In 2015, building on their industry experience, Plummers Industries identified a unique opportunity to offer turnkey solutions to their existing clientele. This led to the creation of Plummers Project Services (PPS), a new venture dedicated to delivering comprehensive services primarily focused on Water Management and Treatment Solutions.

At PPS, we offer a wide range of services that cover the entire project lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution from Design Management and Engineering Management to Earthworks/Civils, Installation, Commissioning, and Electrical works. Our expertise extends across various areas, including dewatering, borefields, pipelines, site infrastructure, civil construction, and electrical solutions

The Role
Plummers Project Services are seeking experienced Poly Welders with a strong Mobile Plant Operating background for our exciting new construction project located within the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

This is a versatile position, involving the operation of our large fleet of poly welding equipment, skid steer and loader operating, High risk work, as well as hands on assistance supporting the wider team where required. It is essential the successful applicant prioritises safety and maintains a clear understanding of safe systems of work and associated safety protocols.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensuring areas are safely setup and visual inspections are completed prior to commencing work
  • Make sure machines are operated correctly, and maintained to high standard and condition
  • Competently weld pipes according to the work packs, engineering or site specifications
  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout and installation of piping systems
  • Perform pressure tests and leak tests on installed pipe systems to verify their integrity and identify any potential issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and guidelines to maintain safe working environment for themselves and other workers
  • Produce accurate daily reports
  • Work independently or collaborate as part of a team, depending on the project requirement

About You

  • Valid 'HR' Australian Driver's Licence
  • Construction White Card
  • Poly Welding Certificates: Butt Welding, Electrofusion and Extrusion Welding
  • Operator Tickets: IT Loader and Skid Steer
  • HRWL: DG, CN, and RB (Desirable)
  • FMG, RTIO, BHP Inducted (Advantageous)
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in similar role
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A screening
