About the Physiotherapy Department:

The Physiotherapy Department is committed to promoting the highest levels of care for our patients.

In realising this goal, the department will lead and excel in research, teaching and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice.

The department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, from the Emergency Department through to bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care.


About the role:


As a Allied Health Assistant within Physiotherapy at Austin Health you will work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals, who are passionate about providing best practice care for patients.

You'll enjoy our continuing education and quality improvement strategy, which is developed through leadership forums and committees.

A regular day will see you:

  • **Assess and treat patients, liaising as appropriate with family members and caregivers to promote patient care**:

  • Facilitate a coordinated approach to total patient management by working with other team members where required:

Appropriately document patient management and provide information to relevant parties:


  • Participate in continuing education activities, eg. APA and Austin Health programs
