The Opportunity


As the Plant and Equipment Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, maintenance, and efficient utilization of plants and equipment on construction sites.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction equipment, logistics, and project management.

As a Plant & Equipment Coordinator you will be responsible for managing plant & equipment, service support, providing technical or functional information to project staff, and our customers.

You will use your strong technical and communication skills to liaise with a range of suppliers and contractors to ensure all plant & equipment is maintained whilst inspecting, expediting, and organising the receipt and delivery of equipment to the Project.


In this role, you will undertake the following duties.

  • Facilitating plant and equipment safety inspections, procedures and systems
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all plant and equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and transfers to and from construction sites
  • Monitor equipment utilization and implement strategies to optimize usage.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all plant and equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of equipment maintenance history, including service reports and warranties.
  • Assist in developing and managing the plant and equipment budget.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and implement measures to control expenses related to equipment operations.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with safety officers to implement safety protocols related to the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Liaise with Construction, Project and Procurement teams to understand equipment needs for upcoming works on the project.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and maintenance teams to ensure timely and costeffective equipment solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipmentrelated documentation, including contracts, licenses, and certifications.
  • Generate reports on equipment usage, maintenance costs, and overall performance.
  • Maintenance and repairs of trucks, heavy duty civil earthmoving equipment, minor plant and light fleet
