About the Role


As a Business Administrator, you are critical to the team you support in performing routine administrative and processing tasks in a timely and accurate manner, making sure our Customers' needs are met in an extemporary manner.

You thrive on providing responsive, considered support and being a key enabler for your team and Telstra, purposefully contributing to shared goals.

Provide a broad range of In-House support functions to Telstra Employees both physically and virtually including but not limited to:

  • Conduct workplace inspections, ensure workspaces are presentable and safe for use. Identify any issues, troubleshoot, and lodge workorder.
  • Manage and support the resetting of workspaces for daily use, provide feedback to cleaning vendor on resets.
  • Triage, resolve and escalate workplace and employee issues.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the 'run sheet' for the day outlining both 'onstage' and 'backstage' activities. This could include, but not be limited to; allocating team members to daily roles/tasks, facilitating the preparation of workspaces for events, guest-management, identifying daily opportunities for employee engagement, coordinating executive support, being point of contact for event stakeholders and facilitating any catering requirements.
  • Be a familiar and friendly face for internal stakeholders, uphold support centrals reputation for being a helpful point of contact.
  • Build, collaborate, problem solve and maintain effective working relationships across Telstra to support solving and assisting in successfully assist, support, and solve employee queries across Telstra.
  • Work to connect employees to each other, help to provide effective physical workspaces that aid employees in doing their job.
  • Guest Check-In and facilitate the hosting of Telstra guests.
  • Facilitate and Host Telstra community events.
  • Provide executive level support.
  • Assist employees with forgotten items including but not limited to laptop chargers, headphones and facilitate a lost and found service.
  • Monitoring, reporting and replacement of faulty office equipment including but not limited to mouses and keyboards.
  • Provide new-starter employee support including 'setting up their kit'.
  • Facilitate the actioning of the run-sheet, address potential challenges that occur throughout the day, look to problem solve to address these challenges effectively.
  • Support the wider team in completing daily tasks.
  • Manage communications with employees and stakeholders through digital channels. Integrate with People Solutions to form the 'Global front door' for digital enquiries.
  • Closing out queries efficiently, seek feedback for improvement in processes.
  • Managing end-to-end requests for employees nationally by utilising various Telstra systems, and delivering to SLA's where required
  • Facilitate HUB services that Telstra offers such as booking courier requests, fast charge, newspapers, milk, off-boarding, visitor management, ID requests and event management.
  • Utilise Aperion to conduct payments of goods and services, included but not limited to; DHL, Australia Post, car cleaning, card printing accessories, first-aid kids, tea and coffee including consumables.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to organise events and complete tasks including but not limited to; group onboarding, client & staff events, confirming details of events, organising catering options, room configuration, confirmation of event with hosts, facilitating post-event feedback forms.
