The Role

As part of the People & Culture leadership team, you will work collaboratively with leaders and employees across the organisation to lead the agenda for workplace priorities and strategy, creating an environment that boosts employee engagement.


Key focuses:

  • Build strong working relationships based on credibility and open communication to enable the provision of accurate, commercial and timely advice to P&C Business Partners and other leaders;
  • Facilitate investigations, mediations, manage serious disciplinary and misconduct concerns, return to work and employee grievances in partnership with the P&C Business Partners;
  • Prepare for and represent the organisation within various industrial commissions and tribunals where necessary;
  • Lead, coach and motivate others in the development and implementation of robust and innovative frameworks, systems and processes to build ownership at all levels, relating to employee and industrial relations;
  • Proactively manage endtoend Workcover claims and return to work plans.

About You
An expert in workplace relations, you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can proactively influence and engage others.

  • Strong experience in providing comprehensive HR and employment law advice to employees and leaders;
  • Collaborative, with a strong focus on internal customer service to build relationships and provide advice;
  • Experience in managing Union relationships, disputes and EA negotiations;
  • The ability to think strategically, influence, then plan and execute;
  • Experience in representing your employer within various industrial commissions and tribunals and briefing legal representation;
  • A thought leader, you have had success in influencing and coaching others;
  • A relevant Tertiary qualification.
