The role entails a candidate who will:

  • Collect, analyze, and distribute industry and market information and offer continuous sourcing support.
  • Assist in identifying potential import products and suppliers.
  • Travel for supplier visits and trade exhibitions.
  • Guide suppliers through evaluation and onboarding processes.
  • Provide insights for updating/developing International Procurement procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

- Monitor and assess the performance of import product suppliers according to contractual expectations.

- Present reports to Sysco Corporate & Non-US Operating Companies on findings from evaluations of global suppliers

- Develop industry and market research related to global products.

- Establish standards for maintaining industry, import products, and local market knowledge and reports.

- Initiate contact with potential global product suppliers.

- Identify new global product suppliers.

- Travel to international trade shows, engage with potential global product suppliers, and identify new product opportunities.

- Write reports on facility visits and trade show observations.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree required from a four-year College or University.

- Three to five years of project management experience required.

- International experience is a plus.

- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Travel:

- Extensive international travel is needed.
