What does the job look like?

As the shift manager, you will be responsible for the end to end management in the warehouse to ensure a high level of safety, productivity and performance of the night shift team. This role will be based in Laverton and is 11pm-7am, Sunday – Thursday. Key areas:

  • Ensure all hazards and risks are identified, evaluated and controlled in accordance with Linfox Safety Policy and Procedures and any client requirements
  • Ensure completion of incident reports, communication of investigation findings in line with Linfox Reporting Requirements.
  • Manage productivity on shifts per site targets.
  • Ensure 100% of orders picked, packed and despatched on time in full
  • Conduct shift start up meetings to communicate all Safety Call Outs and Shift Target requirements
  • Ensure all site personnel are trained and competent to perform task/s and that records of those competencies are well maintained and up to date
  • Run daily and monthly reports

  • Experience managing a large team in a warehousing environment
  • Computer literacy with exposure to Warehouse Management Systems
  • Strong WH&S knowledge
  • Effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong co-ordination skills, accuracy, attention to detail and highly organised
