About the Role:
The Manager Audit Services plays an important role in assisting the company to improve the internal control environment and business efficiency.
Reporting to the Head of Audit Services, this is a very hands-on role requiring extensive business and senior stakeholder engagement, critical/analytical thinking and attention to detail in conducting internal audit assurance and advisory projects.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication (both written and verbal), and project management skills (from planning to reporting) are essential.What you'll deliver:
- Lead and participate in the planning and execution of internal audits (across operational, financial, IT, project governance, fraud investigation, risk and controls and compliance audits)
- Proactively take a lead in liaising with management, external auditors and cosourcing parties to eliminate duplication of audit effort across the business
- Deliver internal audits on time, budget and exceed expectations
- Provide expertise in internal control and business process improvement to the organisation and advise on the development of new processes and procedures
- Liaise with clients on an ongoing basis to enhance business knowledge and ensure risks are identified
- Maintain knowledge, skills and disciplines necessary to carry out audit responsibilities and maintain professional accreditation
- Provide coaching and leadership for other members of the audit team
- Develop self by seeking challenging developmental opportunities, willingly accepting new responsibilities, and displaying confidence in own knowledge, skills and ability
- Demonstrate accountability by taking responsibility for actions, outcomes and deliverables, displaying commitment to work, and handling issues with mínimal guidance
To succeed in this role you'll have:
- Tertiary qualification
- Business/Commerce
Accounting Qualifications
- CA or CPA
- Strong internal audit technical experience (across operational, financial, IT, project governance, fraud investigation, risk and controls, compliance)
- Experience in data analysis (e.g. Tableau and/or ACL)
- Ability to think strategically, taking a whole of business approach to decision making, analysis and problem solving
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills to interact effectively with management and employees
- Ideally 6 to 10 years of experience in internal audit
- Experience in leading internal audit projects
- Experience in electricity industry desirable but not essential
