In this role, you'll:


Be working as part of our Engineering and Maintenance team within the Major Works or Network Maintenance division, you'll be integral to delivering a range of construction, engineering and maintenance services ensuring a safe and reliable network but most importantly, ensuring our customers remain connected and on the move.


As an Overhead Traction Linesperson, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Electrical 1500Vdc and high and low voltage AC aerial lines.

You'll carry out both major periodic and regular routine maintenance, inspections, and corrective works.

You will play a key role in connecting communities so they can work, rest and play.

Plus, railways are climate-smart, efficient, promote economic growth whilst cutting greenhouse gas emissions and in many cases, are faster than a car, bus, or plane; so, you'll be part of something pretty cool.


You take health and safety as seriously as we do and are passionate about being part of a team that delivers impactful health and safety outcomes so that everyone goes home safely every day.


You also understand that our network never stops so are prepared to support the network by working nights, weekends and overtime with some on-call availability as well as living away from home if required.


About you


You are a skilled tradesperson currently working in the power distribution industry with trade qualifications in Cert III in Distribution Overhead or ESI Rail Traction.

In addition, you hold a current full NSW Class C driver's licence and feel at home driving large vehicles and plant.

You're an innovative, highly motivated team player who respects others and understands the importance of community. You're also recognised as an excellent communicator who is able to collaborate with others.
