About the team:


Our SEQ Track Maintenance team are an integral part of managing the maintenance and reliability of our SEQ rail network, ensuring the track is safe and reliable for the people of Queensland.


About the role:


Track Maintenance Supervisor is based at our Redbank depot and manages the allocation and deployment of resources including personnel, vehicles, equipment and inventory to deliver safe, cost effective and timely routine maintenance.


Additionally you will:

  • Prepare and coordinate daily, weekly and monthly work programs to ensure a high level of track asset availability in a cost efficient and timely manner
  • Review work practices, ensure safe working practices, relevant work standards and employment practices are implemented and met
  • Coordinate and implement programs and training for all workgroups
  • Manage and monitor relevant inventory and costing processes to deliver the most cost effective service.
  • Provide input into the development of yearly budgets

Hours:

This position requires you to work every second weekend on a rotating fortnightly roster.

The roster starts on a Monday, currently the team work 2 on (night shift), 2 off, 7 on, 3 off.

We are looking for:

  • Knowledge of track maintenance standards, systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated resource management and work programming skills.
  • Excel and general computer skills, ideally EAMS/SAP experience
  • Strong leadership, people management and negotiation experience
