In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a team delivering public transport planning services for regional NSW.


This role will see you work across multi-disciplinary, matrixed teams in the development of holistic transport strategies and projects across a 0-10 year timeframe.

You will be required to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to identify transport challenges and opportunities and then devise customer-focused solutions.


You will contribute to the delivery of a range of Transport Planning projects, including place-based planning within a specific geographical area, integrated network planning, as well as major and minor projects and initiatives, to support the achievement of NSW government's vision and priorities.

This is a fixed term opportunity until 1 Nov 2024.

About you


Demonstrated experience in Transport Planning, Transport Operations, Urban and Regional Planning or Town Planning, the position will focus on Regional and Outer Metropolitan Public Transport Planning so a demonstrated interest in working in this sector is required.


Critical thinking and experience in supporting projects on the go at any one point in time, and requires high level problem-solving, creativity, and perseverance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.


You will need to be able to build rapport and develop strong stakeholder relations across multiple internal and external sources.

You will need to leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.
