The primary focus of this role is to oversee the preparation of statutory accounts for various subsidiaries, acting as the key liaison between multiple stakeholders. What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts for various subsidiaries. You will be responsible for monthly legal entity analysis, planning, and managing reporting deliverables. Your ability to initiate and drive continuous improvement in current processes will be crucial to your success in this role. You will also act as the key liaison for business contacts, managing requests from Business Units, Legal Entity Controllers, and auditors. Your role will involve identifying process changes to improve team efficiency, managing resolution of anomalies in reconciliations, participating in change management impacting Financial Services, adhering to internal processes, and ensuring accurate delivery of external reporting by managing offshore team deliverables.

  • Review of statutory accounts for subsidiaries
  • Monthly legal entity analysis, AFSL and RSE financial conditions monthly monitoring
  • Plan and manage reporting deliverables for assigned statutory and regulatory reports
  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement in current processes
  • Key liaison for business contacts and management of requests received from Business Units and Legal Entity Controllers and auditors
  • Identify and assist with the implementation of process changes to improve team efficiency and productivity using established change management processes
  • Manage resolution of anomalies and issues identified in reconciliations and report preparation
  • Participate in managing change impacting Financial Services as required
  • Adhere to internal processes and procedures
  • Work with and manage offshore team deliverables to ensure accurate and timely delivery of external reporting

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role brings a wealth of experience in statutory financial reporting and regulatory reporting. You have advanced knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, standards, and financial products and systems. Your excellent communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. You hold a tertiary qualification and CA/CPA designation or equivalent experience. With over 5 years of work experience, you are comfortable working with large data sets, possess strong problem-solving skills, and thrive under pressure.

  • Proven experience in statutory financial reporting and regulatory reporting to APRA and other regulators
  • Advanced knowledge of finance and accounting concepts/standards and financial products and systems
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Tertiary qualification and CA/CPA designation or equivalent experience
  • +5 years work experience
  • Comfortable with large data sets
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
