The Operation

Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long mine life. We are a large, dynamic mine committed to delivering safety and performance. The Location

Ravensworth Open Cut is ideally located in the NSW Hunter Valley near Singleton, 70 km north-west of Maitland, and 90 km north-west of Newcastle.

The Role

An opportunity exists at our operation for a Procurement / Contracts Specialist. This is a permanent role reporting to the Commercial Manager where you will be part of the team managing the end-to-end procurement cycle, including but not limited to, the identification of cost savings opportunities, development of sourcing strategies, negotiation and execution of contracts and the management of ongoing supplier relationships and contract value delivery across our business.

About you

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Business, or Legal discipline, or the equivalent industry experience
  • Extensive contract management experience with an in-depth understanding and appreciation of commercial, financial, and advanced contracting concepts.
  • Ability to optimise commercial value and drive improvements across the value chain.
  • Professional attitude and experience in the development of internal and external customer networks to create positive relationships and achievement of collaborative solutions.
  • Experience in reporting on contract metrics, deliverables, and commercial performance.
  • Experience in the drafting and review of letters, variations, and scope of work documents.
  • Experience working within a large complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong supplier relationships to achieve a mutually beneficial partnership.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks.
