Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Manager opportunity include;
  • Planning, executing, and delivering capital projects within established timelines and budgets.
  • Effectively scoping and planning projects by collaborating with key stakeholders and taking ownership of project execution.
  • Providing visible leadership to project team members and promoting our organization's values during all interactions.
  • Ensuring the implementation of all relevant standards during project execution.
  • Managing project budgets, including cost recovery as appropriate.
  • Executing and owning contractual requirements and duties as required.
  • Ensuring all personnel work efficiently, safely, and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Taking full ownership of the project and completed work.
  • Awareness and compliance with requirements of relevant Acts and Regulations
To be considered for the Mechanical Project Manager opportunity you will possess;
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or trade with applicable experience
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Project Manager with a successful project portfolio of mine infrastructure projects
  • Experience running multiple projects simultaneously (highly desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of project management processes to effectively scope and execute projects in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • The ability to develop and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies over the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in facilitating stakeholder review meetings and conducting risk assessments.
  • Experience in evaluating and managing the performance of project team members to maximize productivity.
  • Experience in contract and construction management, including knowledge of relevant standards related to project delivery.
  • Experience in planning and executing capital projects varying in size and complexity.
  • Strong commercial acumen with specific reference to cost control and contract administration.
  • Subcontractor management skills including strong relationship-building and negotiation.
  • Reporting and presentation skills.
