: The Department of ICT seeks to fill multiple positions available within the team.

There is a combination of temporary positions with the possibility of permanency available with a variation of part-time hours.

The ICT department is seeking an experienced Vocational Education and Training Practitioners to join their team as an Educator for commencement in 2024.

WHAT DO WE WANT?

We seek an experienced VET teacher with a strong understanding of quality assessment, learning resource development and learning management systems (i.e., E-Learn).

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Educator will complete various collaborative activities in curriculum delivery, providing education and support to a range of student cohorts. Building strong continuous relationships with internal and external Industry partners and within the ICT team. You will have sound knowledge and experience in computer-based management systems, and IT capabilities, including skills and knowledge, in either Networking, Programming and Web Applications, or the ability to deliver and assess against a range of different Programming languages. You will be responsible for implementing innovative teaching and assessment practices and model a commitment to continuous learning.

WHAT DO I NEED?

To be successful in this position you will be able to inspire, energize, and positively influence team and individual outcomes. You will be an experienced VET practitioner passionate about passing on your knowledge and experience. Putting the student's journey at the centre of your work, enabling you to easily navigate compliance requirements, relationships with industry and best practice learning and development. All Teacher Level 1's must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent) where the full qualification is not held, as a minimum prior to employment as an employee in any form, the qualification required by the Standards for RTOs (Enterprise Trainer – Presenting Skill Set and/or Enterprise Trainer – Mentoring Skill Set and/or Enterprise Trainer and/or Assessor Skill Set). Must hold a Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent).

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 22 July 2024 to 21 July 2025. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency/promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 – Direct appointment of employee – general, and Section 20 – Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements.
