Chez Jean-Claude Patisserie is urgently in need of an experienced Baker to join our highly skilled team.

We brought to Perth, 'The Swiss Art of Baking' and had been providing our customers with an amazing variety of breads, cakes, pastries and sandwiches since 1997.


As a baker, you will be responsible to follow recipes accurately, prepare and bake a wide variety of bread and other baked goods, do quality checks on ingredients and finished items and maintain a clean and organised work area.

You should be creative, passionate about baking, and able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in determining quantities of ingredients required daily and maintaining stock levels
  • Selecting appropriate ingredients and equipment and setting up work station
  • Weighing and measuring suitable ingredients in accurate quantities.
  • Prepare and bake fruit breads, pies, pastries, muffins, slices and biscuits following set recipes
  • Prepare and check condition of equipment and devices used for baking
  • Combine measured ingredients in mixers or blenders
  • Monitor oven temperatures during baking and ensure product appearance is consistent
  • Follow cooling processes
  • Make dough from scratch
  • Hand moulding of breads
  • Operate diverse baking machines
  • Oven work and deck baking
  • Inventory management
  • Ensure high quality standard of all baking materials and products
  • Complete Production Sheets
  • Maintaining a clean work environment, in line with food safety and OHS standards
  • Ensure all equipment and kitchen utensils are cleaned thoroughly
  • Completing food preparation, wastage, temperature and other production and food safety reports.

Qualifications And Experience
Minimum qualification required is Certificate III or Certificate IV or equivalent with 3 years full-time mandatory relevant work experience.

Skills And Personal Attributes

  • Good handeye coordination
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, to be creative
  • Ability to follow strict health and safety standards
  • Good health with no skin or breathing complaints
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of use and maintenance of modern bakery equipment is a must
  • Demonstrated consistent industry experience will be highly regarded
  • Must be fast, efficient and reliable worker
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times


We are looking for individuals with extensive knowledge in baking a range of fresh produce from start to finish with a flair and passion for preparing and baking pastries, breads and other fresh products at a consistently high quality.


Pay:
$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
