Opportunities:

We are seeking a female support worker with a minimum of 2 years experience within the mental health sector.

The ideal applicant must have experience working with clients that are affected by Multiple Sclerosis, Sleep Apnea, and mental health issues.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with clients affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Certificate 3 in Disability.
  • Minimum 2 years' personal care experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate with nonverbal clients.
  • Strong personal care skills, including showering and toileting.
  • Experience working within complex environments.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay motivated whist working unsupervised.
  • Exhibit the highest levels of professional integrity and confidentiality.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Must have great availability including days, weekends, sleepovers, and active awake shifts.
  • Passionate about helping people with Mental disabilities and complex behaviours.
  • Creative and can think outside the box.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
  • Reliable and organized.
  • Assisting client in a range of daily activities including medication reminders, assisted exercise, domestic duties, cleaning, food preparation, mealtime assistance, dressing, and maintenance of personal hygiene, and companionship.

To be successful in this role, you must hold or be willing to obtain prior to employment:

  • Certificate 3 in Disability.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • National Police clearance certificate.
  • NDIS worker screening check.
  • Full comprehensive car insurance.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Reliable transport and driver's license.
  • Working with Children check.
  • First aid certificate and CPR.
  • Mental health first aid is highly desired but not essential.
