Based in Townsville, we are searching for a locomotive maintainer to perform the repair and overhaul of locomotives and their components including engines, bogies, wheels, etc.


Key Responsibilities:
As a mechanical fitter, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Demonstrating high-level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Utilizing exceptional problemsolving abilities.
  • Possessing knowledge and understanding of diesel/electric locomotive engines and associated equipment (desirable).
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance and/or repairs on rolling stock, wagons, plant, and facilities as required.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on locomotives and equipment, ensuring all tasks adhere to relevant maintenance documentation.
