Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Project Management: You'll navigate complex project landscapes and deliver exceptional creative outcomes that meet all the required expectations
  • Stakeholder Management: You'll establish and maintain connections with all Leadership in Global Content & Discovery Groups and company leads to ensure cohesive Content journey and exceptional user experience.
  • Craft: You'll collaborate with the Canvas talented team of multiple design disciplines across the comoany to deliver top-tier, globally appealing content that meets company goals and budget.
  • Design Leadership : You'll be responsible for ensuring both the content and content experience coming out of the Group meets our high standards of simplicity and usability. You will lead by example, guiding the team towards achieving their goals. You'll oversee and guide the quality standards for curated content across product surfaces.
  • Vision and Strategy: You'll clearly define the design vision, strategy and roadmap for the Content group, partnering with senior stakeholders, and creating clarity through your communication by simplifying complex things. You'll provide expertise on content suitability in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaboration: You'll collaborate with the Group of Groups Triad to implement best data practices for content evaluation and performance enhancement. You'll form strong relationships and understanding with Engineering and Product leads and stakeholders in order to drive innovation and clarity on new product areas.
  • Reporting: You'll report and resolve content initiatives, results and roadblocks with super group leadership.
  • Research: You'll deeply understand competitors, trends, patterns, best practices, design inspiration, and user and business insights.
  • Shape and establish design processes: By driving design best practices, you'll enable more significant impact and efficiency across the team.

  • Creative Craft Leader: You have a deep understanding of the Creative Process, you excel in your design craft and as a hands on leader.
  • Effective communication skills: You can confidently communicate future design direction with senior stakeholders, including founders, and inspire positive action within your team to bring the vision to life.
  • A high bar for design: You strongly advocate for ensuring clean, elegant, and usable design. You can provide guidance and feedback to continually raise our bar for quality.
  • Exceptional visual communication skills: You can communicate ideas and information visually to inspire, influence and tell a compelling story.
  • A collaborative approach: You're happiest when working closely with other Designers, Engineers and Product Managers. You value feedback and brainstorming ideas.
  • Data Fluency: You love using data to evaluate problems, inform your design solutions and measure success.
  • Flexibility: Our growth means there are constantly new things to work on every day, so it's likely that you'll often be working across the board on new and exciting projects.
  • Growth Mindset: You're eager to learn and develop your skills while having fun
