The role:

  • Perform Power On/system initialisation and preparation activities to ensure Link 16 devices are ready for operations.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment and network for correct operation.
  • Achieve and maintain Maintenance Authority in accordance with the program's Maintenance Management Plan.
  • Document maintenance conducted in accordance with the program's Maintenance Management Plan (MMP).
  • Comply with and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and general safe workplace standards.
  • Ensure security of facilities, information, equipment and systems.

The Person:

  • In depth experience and knowledge in LINK-16 and communication systems.
  • Certificate IV Avionics or Certificate IV in Electrical / Electronic Technology.
  • Knowledge of complex aircraft systems including Radar, Navigation, Instrumentation, Electronic Warfare, Air to Ground and Air to Air Weapons.
  • Knowledge of IT Network fundamentals and diagnostics and computing equipment maintenance.
  • Able to interpret technical publications, drawings and data.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software faults.
  • Working knowledge of engineering, configuration management and logistics support requirements as they relate to Defence systems.
