Robert Walters has teamed up with Parkinson's Queensland, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals living with Parkinson's Disease, their families, and healthcare professionals.

With a strong focus on advocacy, collaboration, education, and research, Parkinson's Queensland is committed to raising awareness about the social and economic impact of Parkinson's, forming partnerships with like-minded organizations, educating key stakeholders, and promoting vital research efforts.


Position Overview:

An outstanding opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Parkinson's Queensland towards its strategic goals. As CEO, you will have a pivotal role in highlighting the significant social and economic costs linked to Parkinson's Disease, fostering partnerships with organizations sharing similar objectives, educating healthcare professionals, politicians, and the public, and supporting research initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advocacy: Lead efforts to advocate for increased awareness of the social and economic impact of Parkinson's Disease.
  • Partnership Building: Identify, establish, and nurture partnerships with organizations aligned with our mission.
  • Education and Outreach: Develop and implement comprehensive education programs targeting various audiences.
  • Research Promotion: Encourage and support research efforts focused on Parkinson's Disease.
  • Organizational Leadership: Provide strong leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and financial management.
  • Fundraising and Sustainability: Develop effective fundraising strategies to support the organization's initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 10 years of management experience within the non-profit sector.
  • Passion for Parkinson's: Understanding of chronic diseases and dedication to supporting affected individuals and families.
  • Advocacy Skills: Strong advocacy skills to raise awareness and mobilize support.
  • Partnership Development: Experience in building partnerships for collective impact.
  • Education and Communication: Excellent communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
  • Research Orientation: Familiarity with research processes and supporting research initiatives.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and fundraising.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications:

A relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, health sciences, or related fields is preferred.
