About the role

Join the Employee Services Team at Origin Energy and be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise in Injury Management will make a significant impact. We empower our team members to drive positive change by providing expert advice and coaching to leaders and employees, influencing senior leaders, and actively contributing to continuous improvement.

As a P&C Consultant – Injury Management, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of worker's compensation, and income protection claims
  • Facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of ill and injured employees
  • Coordinate with employees, leaders, insurers and our Health & Safety Team to provide support and implementation of return-to-work strategies.
  • Coach and guide employees and leaders in Injury Management and Workers Compensation practice.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure claims management strategies are implemented, the timely delivery of exceptional customer service and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Ability to deliver face to face training (physical and mental health initiatives), as required.
  • Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardised processes.

What will you bring?

You will love helping people, with a focus on injury management and mental health. You will communicate well, advise and coach different stakeholders, and work cooperatively. You will see opportunities in ambiguity, embrace change and like working in changing environments. With a solid Injury Management background, you will plan and organise well, and prioritise easily and smoothly. You will also:

  • Hold qualifications in a mental-health associated Allied Health Profession
  • Be rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator trained.
  • Have working knowledge of relevant legislation across all Australian jurisdictions.
  • Track record of working in a customer-focused environment where the emphasis is on customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Have working knowledge of Psychosocial Hazards
  • Mental Health First Aid trained
