Production/Fabrication Manager
will oversee our manufacturing and refurbishing operations for fuel tanks.
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you will be charged with ensuring efficient production processes, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.
Key areas are:
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization; Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of productsQuality Assurance:
Establish and enforce quality control standards for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standardsProcess Optimisation:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and waste minimization; Collaborate with engineering, fabrication and maintenance teams to implement new technologies, equipment upgrades, and automation solutionsTeam Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of trade professionals, production and scheduling staffSafety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goodsWhat you will bringDemonstrated background in production management, process optimisation, quality assurance, and team leadership within a manufacturing environmentAnalytical approach and reporting ability to ensure efficient scheduling of all jobs in the workshop, tracking hours completed and costs on the jobStrong knowledge of production processes, quality management systems, and best practice manufacturing principlesDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive continuous improvement initiativesExcellent communication and strong organisation skills with the ability to work within a small team and with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality standards applicable to fuel tank manufacturingBachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Competitive salary plus superFree onsite parkingBenefits program with a variety of staff discountsVehicle salary packagingDown to earth friendly teamTo apply, please click the link below and take the first step in discovering a successful career with IOR.
