About this opportunity


Yarra Trams requires the services of an experienced performance and analytics advisor to identify and deliver performance improvements across the network.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Performance, this role will require the successful applicant to understand the operational performance of the tram network, to identify improvement opportunities across operations through data-driven insights, and to support reporting and governance meetings.


The role involves:

  • Analysing performance to identify trends and key drivers and propose improvement actions/projects based on business intelligence;
  • Working with stakeholders across the business to identify and deliver tram performance improvements;
  • Developing visualisation dashboards to support decisionmaking;
  • Establishing and improving efficient and effective processes for analysing, presenting and sharing operational performance data to enable clear presentation and assessment of change and identification of performance issues;
  • Identifying valuable data sources and automating collection processes;
  • Regularly providing reporting on network performance at different forums (on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis) and assisting in submitting contractual claims related to the Operations Module of the Franchise Agreement;
  • Assisting in identifying key impact of changes on performance through post implementation reviews;

About you

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Statistics). Industryrelevant practical experience is advantageous;
  • Strong analytics and data visualisation/business intelligence knowledge;
  • A proven history of high performance within a similar role;
  • Proficiency in generating high quality reports, proposals and stakeholder papers;
  • Effective communication skills and ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels;
  • Excellent problem solving, selfdriven, and time management skills;
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced environment and prioritise tasks.
