We have a new opportunity available at our Opal Fibre Australia Rota Die site in Heidelberg, VIC for a Diesetter.

This will be a Day Shift role.

You will be responsible for the production of dies for our corrugated fibre site converting machines. This includes the efficient setup and operation of die-cutting equipment to meet quality and production standards.

The responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Efficient set up and changeover of dies on die-cutting equipment to meet production requirements
  • Ensure proper alignment, tension, and set up of dies for accurate and precise cutting
  • Complete basic calibration of Easy Benders (Nozzles Guide, Length, Radii)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to die setup and machine calibration
  • Conduct quality checks on diecut samples to verify conformance to specifications
  • Make necessary adjustments to maintain highquality standards and minimise waste

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;

  • A good working knowledge of Benders/Cutters both mechanically and software (preferred but not essential)
  • Technical training or certification in die setting or a related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs
  • Familiarity with diecutting equipment and related tools.
  • Attention to detail and precision to ensure accurate and highquality production.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
