ABOUT THE COMPANY

ABOUT THE ROLE
An Import Operations position handling sea freight and airfreight end to end, working within a tight-knit team. On Cargowise1, this role will see the suitable candidate responsible for all aspects of import operations processes.

DUTIES

• Follow-up on missing documents from shippers, agents, and local clients

• Registration of import sea and airfreight files into the operating systems, send sea/air cargo and under bonds

• Ensure shipment files are passed onto Customs to complete clearance on time

• Arrange cartage with transport providers (when required)

• Provide status updates to a portfolio of clients

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years minimum experience in a freight forwarding team

• Previous experience dealing directly with clients

• Exposure to working in a team environment

• Exposure to all elements of the import process (order to caratage/invoice)

• Knowledge of Cargowise1 is preferred
